This paper focuses on the relationship between the Emmanuel Community and the parochial world. By observing the four Parisian parishes administered by the community, we try to grasp the everydayness of integration of the most important movement stem from the European Catholic Charismatic Renewal to the Catholic Church. This integration concretely occurs by accommodations between conceptions from distinct religious traditions (protestant and catholic). The sociological approach focuses on the adaptability of the Emmanuel community. Integration is not only apprehended as a unilateral movement of institutional regulation. In a wider perspective, this article studies the relationships established between nominal Christian and converted Christian in a parochial context. How to reconcile in one place a form of religious virtuosity, carried by the community, with an ordinary parochial life?
