Abstract

In this interview, Georges Vigarello briefly summarize his career and what motivated his interest for the questions related to bodily transformations. He asserts that the sensitivity is at the core of these transformations, thus diachronically highlighting a refocusing of the individual on itself. But the paradox of this hygienist State is precisely the dialectic between autonomy and control of individuals.
