Food aid, observed in a food bank and in the distribution of parcels, before and after the coronavirus pandemic, is subject to moral, budgetary and sanitary imperatives tending to impose on the financially deprived populations a mode of nutrition with a dietetic aim. An association of dieticians indeed advises the managers of aid systems to prepare parcels that are close to an ideal food pyramid, albeit based on low-cost products and avoiding comfort foods rich in added sugar. This approach condemns recipients to a relatively austere diet that does not consider their tastes and preferences.
