Abstract

In a broader perspective which aims to question the contemporary relation to body and self, we propose in this article a brief critical analysis of the metaverse Second Life (SL). An analysis, first, by which we highlight the notion of body at the basis of SL’s advertising discourse and a critique, then, showing the illusory nature of that discourse and what it nonetheless reflects regarding the way people who adopt it today relate to human condition.
