Abstract

This article deals with Pentecostal virtual practices in Cameroon. The social changes analysis has yet to study religious communication. As a matter of fact, pastor Dieunedort Kamdem states that: “We transform the world… from here.” He is the founder of the Cathedral of Faith and of the Kanodi Ministries. As far as Temitope Balogun Joshua is concerned, he officiates religious services from afar, through the medium of his TV channel Emmanuel TV. This channel is watched by many Cameroonians. Temitope Balogun Joshua declares: “Just touch the screen and be in accord with us here.” Nowadays, religious leaders pretend to be able to change the society from their churches. This paradigm inspires itself from the medial turn. It is analysed as a “modernity” inspired by Cameroonians pentecostalisms.
