Abstract

The article aims to take stock of the evolution of external data relevant to textual criticism of the Acts of the Apostles, whether in direct or indirect tradition, in Greek, in Latin and Syriac, and to discuss how the new data have been (or not) exploited. The author attempts a first evaluation of the editio critica maior in Münster. For Latin, after taking into account the research carried out by H.A.G. Houghton and by the Mainz Digital Publishing Team, the author presents some of his own research on the contribution of Latin lectionaries and Latin patristic quotations. For Syriac, the author focuses more particularly on patristic citations, and dialogues with earlier articles by A. Vööbus, by P.J. Williams and S. Brock.
