The Story of Zosimus is a mythological text inspired by a chapter of the book of Jeremiah, namely chapter 35. The text relates the journey of Zosimus, the meeting with the Blessed One and how he wrote their story. The text, common in the Eastern tradition, is transmitted in several languages and in several versions. This article briefly discusses the Arabic versions of the text (long, short and free) and the differences between them. Thereafter, it focuses mainly on the editing and translation of the free version and its characteristics.
