About the Journal

Introduction

BABELAO stands for “Bulletin of the ABELAO” i.e “Bulletin of the Belgian Association for the Study of Ancient and Oriental Languages”. ABELAO is a not-for-profit organization the aim of which is to promote research and teaching in the domain of ancient and oriental cultures and languages, and in particular summer courses on the campus of the University of Louvain at Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium).
Its bulletin is intended to be an academic journal and covers the area of Antiquity and Orientalism from its different aspects: philology, palaeography, history of the ancient and oriental world.
