Three strategies were mainly adopted by philosophers to solve the demarcation problem: 1° looking for a single and anhistorical demarcation criterion, 2° seeking lists with multiple criteria, 3° defining pseudoscience. By analyzing Sven Ove Hansson proposal, this article is mainly focused on the third strategy. The article pursues a triple objective: i) analyze each of the criteria that make up Hansson's 2013 definition of pseudoscience, and the difficulties that the author tries to overcome, ii) highlight the limits of his definition, iii) in the end, identify proposals that allow us to move forward on the question of pseudoscience.
